It's Almost Time!!!!

The kit is almost ready to debut... I am so excited for everyone to see all the work that has gone into this last month... What a wonderful effort and product that you will all see soon.
Again, we would like to thank everyone involved in this... A Special thank you to Junianas for coordinating it and all her ideas and so much work. You are a very special woman and someone we are so honored to call a friend.
There have been so many people in this effort and each and every one of you mean so much to us.

As for Trevor.. an update.. not really much new news to tell other than we are getting closer to the 9th which is when the 2nd insurance kicks in and we are supposed to be able to get him on the Transplant list as soon as it is active.. We are all on pins and needles hoping there are no more delays.

The Hemo-dialysis is amazing and really seems to help get all he excess fluid off.. He feels alot better using this one as well and that is good. We were even able to go to the Jazz game last night. My sister got us all tickets and we were going to take Trevor's kids but, he was feeling up to it and we took him and Savana. They had a great time even though it did wear him out. Much needed relaxation though and that was wonderful.. Thanks so much Terri (my sis) for getting the tickets.

I cant wait to see everyones reactions to the kit and TTS has special gallery that is amazing and filling up with awesome layouts to show off the kit.. Go check it out http://www.treasurestoscrap.com/gallerysubcat.asp?show=162here

News this week

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say once again thank you all so much for your efforts, kindness and generosity. It has been an amazing week watching so many people gather together to help someone in our family. I have been a participant before many times with the purchasing of a kit for someone but, never have had the opportunity to see what is done behind the scenes... It is absolutely amazing to me and there are so many people involved I have no idea how to start. A complete thank you to each and everyone no matter what part you are in the whole experience.
Trevor is doing pretty good.. I was able to witness dialysis this weekend for the first time and what an amazing tool it is.. It takes about 4 hours to do the dialysis and he does it 3 times a week.. It definately has helped him with the swelling and extra fluids stored an that helps him to feel better as well.
His work has been wonderful and changed his shift so that he can still work and do dialysis and that is such a great blessing as that is where the needed 2nd insurance will come from.
Savana is a trooper, what an amazing woman she has become.. she is so strong and does all things without even blinking an eye.. Sometimes during the seizures and sugar lows I sit in awe watching her work.. yes, she falls apart afterwards sometimes but, she does what she needs and I am not sure all of us as a human race would have that capability.
This weekend she told me she wished she was a strong person.. I looked at her like she had totally lost her mind... She said well I just do what has to be done.. well Savana you are a strong person and so many of us look up to you!!!! We love you both!

Thank you to everyone

I am Tracy, Trevor is my son-in-law.. I just wanted to tell you all thank you very much for all your generosity and kindness. Our family is all just in amazement as to this act of kindness and so overwhelmed with love.
Trevor is doing pretty good. He had to have his gall-bladder removed yesterday and they say he will either be able to come home tonight or in the morning. He will have a relaxing day tomorrow with the Thanksgiving festivities and we have plenty to be thankful for.
Savana is so touched by all of this she hasn't stopped crying.. They both wish to tell you all that you are "angels" and have given them so much hope.
Kacee, my daughter that started the adventure asking for cards is so excited to be apart of this amazing group and as she is learning to design this has given her a feel of compassion even more for the designing world..
As a mom, I don't know how to express my gratefulness.. It is still quite a shock and "unreal" act of kindness that I never expected. My heart is full.. I can never say thank you enough for just your compassion and love that you are all showing.

What this is about...

First of all I have to say, I'm German and not very good in composing in English... so I decided to copy Tracy's original posting - I don't want to phrase anything wrong. You can read her original post on her own blog, too.

This is what Tracy wrote...

My son in law, Trevor, is back in the hospital for the 3rd time this month.. If you dont know their story let me share a little with you..

Trevor and Savana (my oldest dd) met a couple of years ago and fell in love almost literally on their first date. They were married 6 months later and are so very happy.. Trevor has 2 adorable kiddos, that are actually very close in age with my youngest two adopted kiddos and they are the best of friends.

Trevor has diabetes.. he has had this horrid disease since he was just a young child and has been insulin dependent for over 20 years. However, he was doing great until January this year.. 9 months after they were married.. He started to get sick, have seizures and his blood sugars started to be uncontrollable.. This is when he started to go to the doctors and we found out that his kidneys and pancreas were starting to fail. The first things that all the drs pushed for him to do was to prepare for the transplant list. The things required to be able to be on the list took up until October to finish.. They finally finished the last thing needed and were told that they are now denied for the transplant due to not having a secondary insurance.

Now, Trevor has gone through several surgeries, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prepatory treatments for the transplant and now is on complete dialysis. He has been doing dialysis at home now for the last couple of months. This past week he started to see yellow and was taken to the hospital yet again. They did surgery this morning to put the cathetar into his chest for hemo dialysis, which he will have to go to the hospital 3-4 times a week to do. This, is a hard blow, he will now have to quit the job that he has been literally killing himself to do because they needed the secondary insurance. He had to make it until Dec 9th to qualify for the insurance at this job.

We have gone to every resource that is possible to get help.. nothing is working... When they finally got onto medicaid they lost it as the medicaid team told them to apply for medicare.. as soon as they were accepted on medicare they were taken off of medicaid immediately.. this was about 5 months ago.

Right now Trevor is extremely sick, they think other organs are now starting to shut down. He is extremely discouraged and starting to give up. Savana is beside herself with grief.. Mind you she is only 22 years old, while all of her friends are getting married and starting their families, she is trying to keep her husband alive and positive and fighting for life..

Kacee my second DD, Savana's sister has started a Quest for encouragement cards for both of them.. If you would like to send a card of encouragement we would love to share them with them.
You can send the cards to:
Trevor and Savana John,
11080 North 5600 West
Tremonton, Utah
84337
or digitally and I will print them off and take them to the hospital at
sppt@treasurestoscrap.com

thank you everyone for helping us to keep him fighting for life!!!!

All our prayers were with them - but we wanted to do more... so the idea for the "Trevor's Treasures" kit was born. A kit, totally and only created to help her family in these hard days.

We were overwhelmed by the responses - and have never seen such a great community like the "digi scrapper's world" before.

You can see it in the list on the left - such a bunch of amazing scrappers, willing to help and work together for this one, great cause.

So far...
